En 73, Eno quitte le groupe. Bryan Ferry enregistre son premier album solo... on pense que le groupe est fini. Il n'en est rien, puisqu'au mois de septembre sort ce nouveau très grand album. Bryan Ferry y livre quelqu'uns de ses plus beaux titres : "Serenade", "A Song for Europe", "Mother of Pearl", "Sunset".
